One Line Only
The Soft Mic
One Line Only is a themed soft mic centered on creative limitation, interpretation, and shared structure. Poets and writers gather to explore how different voices respond to the same rules. Each One Line Only mic centers on a shared theme/prompt. Themes are shared ahead of time so writers can choose how they want to express themselves. One rule only: poems must be only ten lines.
The One Line Only writing circle acts as a creative warm up and entry point. Participants experiment collaboratively and individually using the same theme and rules.
Writers are encouraged to bring work from the circle to the mic, but this is optional. New work is always welcome.
