Safe & Seen.

Softspoke Collective is intentionally built as a space where people are respected, welcomed, and allowed to exist as they are.

Our events are open to people of all races, genders, sexual orientations, body types, abilities, neurotypes, and backgrounds. We especially hold space Black, Brown, Indigenous, and other people of color. We welcome the gays and theys + more. We welcome neurodivergent, introverted, anxious, quiet, weird, and in-between people.

You do not have to explain yourself here.
You do not have to perform identity or confidence.
You do not have to be “normal,” polished, or loud.

What This Means in Practice

  • Harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory behavior is not tolerated

  • Pronouns are respected

  • Passing is always allowed

  • Participation is optional and consent-based

  • Quiet is welcome

  • Boundaries are honored

Softspoke events are designed to reduce pressure, not add to it. That includes how we listen, how we share space, and how we treat one another.

Our spaces are creative and community-based. We aim to hold thoughtful, humane space.

Bottom Line

If you’ve ever felt out of place in creative spaces
If you’ve been talked over, overlooked, or expected to toughen up
If you move through the world a little differently

You belong here.

Softspoke is built for listening, respect, and care. Always.

Collective Caring

Softspoke believes creative spaces don’t exist in a vacuum.
We’re part of a wider community, and care doesn’t stop at the page.

A Note on Care & Boundaries

Softspoke gatherings are creative and community-centered.
They are not therapy, treatment, or crisis intervention.

If you find that something brought up during an event feels heavy, overwhelming, or activating, support exists beyond the space (and it’s okay to reach for it).

You are allowed to take care of yourself.
You are allowed to ask for help.
You are not alone.
